Mobile Commerce
A mobile shopping experience that feels as natural as scrolling through social media.
Overview
What is it?
A mobile e-commerce app that reimagines online shopping through gesture-based navigation, personalized product feeds, and seamless checkout. Built with React Native for iOS and Android.
Why did we build it?
Traditional e-commerce apps felt clunky and outdated compared to social media apps. Users expected the same fluid, engaging experience when shopping. We needed to reduce friction and make shopping delightful.

Challenges & Solutions
The Problem
Gesture Conflicts: Users were accidentally adding items to cart while scrolling, leading to frustration and cart abandonment.
The Solution
Implemented a two-phase gesture system with visual feedback - subtle haptic and visual cues show intent, requiring a small hold to confirm. Added smart gesture recognition that distinguishes between scrolling and intentional swipes.
The Result
Accidental add-to-cart events reduced by 94%, while intentional gestures increased by 23%.
The Problem
Performance on Low-End Devices: Animations were choppy on Android devices with <4GB RAM, affecting 40% of our user base.
The Solution
Used React Native Reanimated for native thread animations, implemented adaptive quality that reduces animation complexity on low-end devices, and optimized image loading with progressive JPEGs and smart caching.
The Result
Achieved consistent 60fps on devices as old as 2018, with <100MB memory footprint.
Results & Impact
“The mobile app became the primary revenue driver, generating 68% of total sales within 6 months of launch and setting a new standard for mobile commerce UX.”
